So, you’ve found out about NSC Global through a job posting, a friend or through other means, and you’ve thought about joining our global team of IT specialists.
Maybe you’re not sure if you’re the right person for the job, maybe you need some extra info about what we’re looking for – don’t fret! Here, you’ll find 10 different skills that we at NSC are looking for in our colleagues.
- Windows client knowledge
Windows 7, 8 and 10 are an open book to you? You know your way around Active Directory and the MS Office package? A command line is a welcome sight to you? Then you’re already a good candidate for our many IT Onsite Support / Field engineer roles that we have posted!
- Hardware knowledge
If you’re not scared to take apart a PC or laptop, know which parts do what and how they fit together, and how you assemble and disassemble a computer workplace, we would like to have a chat with you about our Technician roles.
- IT Ticketing experience
If you’ve already worked with an IT ticketing system such as ServiceNow, OTRS or ZenDesk, you have a leg up in joining NSC. It’s not a requirement though – we believe in teaching people the skills they need.
- IT Rollout experience
You have already experienced the thrill of upgrading from Windows 7 to Windows 8 or 10? You have helped in rolling out a new hardware environment? That’s great – because our clients ask us to do just that.
- Networking experience
If you know how to get several different types of hardware onto a business network (PCs, routers, switches, network printers…), that’s an extra point for you!
- Cisco experience
As a Cisco Gold Partner, we are called upon by many of our clients to do Cisco-specific maintenance or transitions. If you have a CCNA or higher (or equivalent knowledge), then you might be just the candidate to join us for our Network Engineer roles!
- Experience in large-scale business environments
Many of our onsite support roles are at large customer sites of well-known companies. If you’ve already experienced such an environment before, that’s a bonus – but again, your tech skills come first!
- A “can-do” attitude
As a solution-oriented IT service company, we want to get things done and solve IT problems. If you’re a go-getter who tackles problems head-on and isn’t afraid to think outside the box to get it done, you’re a fit for NSC!
- Service orientation
We want to make sure our clients are happy with their IT environment and the service they receive. A smile, a friendly conversation and being on good terms with the users is an important part of our daily work – if you feel the same, that’s great!
- Attention to detail
We solve IT problems and we do it well – but all that needs to be documented to show our work and improve processes in the future. If you’re thorough, precise and conscientious in keeping track of what’s been done, you’re a great fit for us.
